Effie, that was very interesting about the Greek last names thing! Thanks for sharing. Also I'm surprised you cook with nettles there... I've never heard of that. Here we have "stinging nettles", and when I'm picking weeds it feels like bugs are stinging my hands! I think God created those on account of my sins.

Christina, Roman Catholic nuns in England traditionally make a nettle soup once a year on a certain day.

As Daniel says, you need to wear gloves to pick the leaves (or get your husband to do it!!!).
