There is yet another category of bad things - death or serious accidents in which a large number of people are affected in just one go. I do not know whether this can be convincingly explained by the Law of Karma. i always had this question too.when did karma start for a jeevi?who is keeping track of all this karma?as i believe as an advaithi,i am "that" already or nethi nethi ..not merely not merely this...

but in kali yugam,bad things happen to good people,i know this now in my own life..sigh.
