Greetings. I thought thattaan or 'goldsmith' came under 'Achaary'. All the artisans came under 'Achaary' group and all of them I knew wore Poonool. Acharys were known as 'Viswakarma' too. (Many sub-divisions under Chettiar group also wore poonool).
