These women are Blacker than the inside of a coffin on a Moonless night. I wonder how powerful the UV Rays of the Sun are in the Andaman Islands. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andaman_Islands |

Neanderthal is actually present in all Eurasians, including them. Denisovan or some Homo Erectus may be there as well, since they are distantly related to Melanesians. http://dienekes.blogspot.com/2011/09...-reich-et.html It has recently been shown that ancestors of New Guineans and Bougainville Islanders have inherited a proportion of their ancestry from Denisovans, an archaic hominin group from Siberia. However, only a sparse sampling of populations from Southeast Asia and Oceania were analyzed. Here, we quantify Denisova admixture in 33 additional populations from Asia and Oceania. Aboriginal Australians, Near Oceanians, Polynesians, Fijians, east Indonesians, and Mamanwa (a “Negrito” group from the Philippines) have all inherited genetic material from Denisovans, but mainland East Asians, western Indonesians, Jehai (a Negrito group from Malaysia), and Onge (a Negrito group from the Andaman Islands) have not.... |

Not having Denisovan doesn't necessarily mean they don't have Neanderthal. Denisovan appears isolated to Aboriginals in Australia, Papua, etc. while Neanderthal has been found in all OOA populations as far as I know. Do you have a source on Onge Neanderthal admixture not specific to Denisovans? The Onge seem to be part of the First OOA Wave (Y-DNA c,d) that hugged the tropical Coastline and didn't interact with the Neaderthal. The Papuans and melanesians may have been part of the second wave (Y-DNA K) that went through the middle east and interbred with Neanderthal. It's all speculation without data. |

Just random: Probably these women are far more healthier than other women around the world. Just check the statistics of the sicknesses caused by over-eating (basically being fat), smoking and drinking. These women neither smoke nor drink nor eat fast food. Everything they eat is far more organic than what most women around the world eat.
Probably they are also fitter than an average woman around the world, since they will have to first hunt then eat teir food and hunting it down or finding the right fruit in the trees etc must be time cosuming and they will have to move the whole time. |
