In what way do you think they assimilate more?
I think they socialize more with "Wasps" or Aframs If they are black
I have met many brazilian American girls online and they are like any other white Americans
and most of their friends are whites of NW European ancestry or Italian-Americans

They have the same challenges as any other immigrant group. As a group they are even newer to the states so there is a definite language barrier socializing.

Yeah I guess
I was talking about the few Brazilians born in America
many are white or at least 100% white looking(If they may be mixed)
I think brazilians are more open than Amerindians or mestizos,Caribbeans also seem very open but Amerindian/mestizos are very unpleasant that's why I think Brazilian tend to asimilate more than Mexicans a brazilian like Gielle Bundchen or Alessandra Ambrosio I think would be accepted and asimilated by NWE-Americans more easilly than a Mexican like Jessica Alba

Hispanics are not white.
The term Hispanic actually means white, and should really just be reserved to identify Spanish descendants. Black African descendant and Native American people aren't Hispanic. Only part of my ancestry is Hispanic, and by just saying Hispanic I am not recognizing my African and Native American heritage/ancestry.

Hispanic can have many meanings, linguisticall and racially, the first can mean Spanish-speaking people or Spanish people. Also can have a cultural meaning as people who live an Hispanic culture.

I have the impression that Brazilians asimilate more easilly than Hispanics in America
Any Latin American from a middle class background will assimilate better than one from a low/poor one. Heck, there's not even the need to assimilate. When I go to the US I don't feel things are different or hard to understand, it's basically the same as where I live. The only difference I see is that at my place we work to live and in the US people live to work.

Well I guess that's because you are predominally Spanish and you probably feel better among whites than you'd feel among "Laura en America" Peruvians...
and I also guess you had a different education and culture than the majority of Peruvians who are very Amerindian

Knowing the language (and being willing to speak it constantly) can help a lot. Some retards among my countrymen have 20+ years living on the States and even so have absolutely refused to learn the language. Idiotic to put it mildly.

Like many have already said, I think the only place in the US where 50% of the hispanics are white is Florida. That's all.
While I haven't personally visited every single state with a substantial Hispanic population, I think your guesstimate is a good one. Its a pretty well known fact that the overwhleming amount of Cuban immigrants (the first couple of post-Castro waves) were European or at least pred. European. Look at TV characters from old sitcoms like I Love Lucy (Ricky Ricardo), he was perceived as a foreign, but not necessarily 'non-white' in a racial sense in those times, at least thats the impression I've gotten.
Florida now has alot of other immigrants, but this also includes Argentines and Uruguayans as well as many other LatinAmericans of pred. Euro ancestry (thats what I came across in Miami). The few Dominicans I saw there were also pred. Euro and of middle or upper class background, as well as Venezuelans and Colombians from well to do families. I even saw a completely Germanic looking Bolivan girl (she either owned a horse ranch or played polo, something along those lines).
NJ received the second largest Cuban immigration, but there have been subsequent waves (starting from the infamous Marielitos) in which there are more non-whites arriving, as well as all the other mixed hispanic groups here.

Even though our compatriots in Allappattah have an infamous reputation, I have always had the impresion that there are more upper class Doms in Florida than in NYC. Only the Banilejos in the Massachussets area surpass the Floridan ones in affluence, I think.

LOL yeah, that's basically what I said. But don't get fooled by the racial/amerind tag tho. I've met a couple of amerind looking but educated peruvians who did very well in the States. In the end culture is even stronger than race when it comes to success and asimilate.

Amerindian looking or amerindian admixed?
If by Amerindian looking you mean someone
like Jorge Aravena then I am not refering to that
type of Peruvians who are between mestizo and castizo,I am refering to those who look
much more amerindian(mestizo tirando a indio)

Andullero knows about Allapattah ! You astonish me South FL has all types of Dominicans. I've met all shades, but Dominicans here are stereotyped to be my complexion here.

LOL. Unlike many people here on the island (which generally could care less about the diaspora's survival or not) I try to keep tabs with all our communities out there.

@Americans
Are you really sure that most Amerindian looking latinos in the US are Mexicans?
Can you differenciate between Mexicans and Central Americans like Salvadorians or Ecuadorians?[COLOR="Silver"]
I can't always tell immigrant Mexicans and Central Americans apart, no. The majority of these groups all look the same to me, but they also all have outliers.

I can almost always tell native-born US Latinos apart from first-generation immigrant ones, just on their dress, demeanor, how they congregate and whom with. Of course if I get to hear them speak English them my accuracy goes up to probably 99%, basically 100% except in cases where they were brought here as young children.

I can also usually tell apart Latino from Anglo-mixed Native Americans on visual inspection, just from their physical features.

I can definitely tell the majority of mestizos like Mexicans and Salvadorans apart from most Afro-Caribbeans like Puerto Ricans and Dominicans. I can't tell Puerto Ricans and Dominicans apart on visual inspection, no. I have known a few Puerto Ricans but not a single Dominican in day to day life, and I have visited the east coast but never lived there, so my exposure is limited. Actually one of my best friends is a 3rd-gen Puerto Rican from the NY / NJ area transplanted to the south. He is light-skinned southern Euro looking and claims Spanish ancestry, same with his mom, but his dad looks sort of mestizo to me, possibly with SSA mix, and a lot of his cousins are mulattoes. His sister looks about like Jennifer Lopez.

South Americans I have a hard time identifying due to lack of exposure. They range from looking like Europeans, to Natives, to Africans in ways that I can't associate with any nation of origin. I have sort of developed an eye for spotting Brazilians from watching MMA but I can still easily get them confused for Afro-Caribbeans.

Some people refer to Allapattah as Dominican Town, here.
