Have been in Singapore for 4 weeks. It's very beautiful, modern and clean. Weather and sea are the other plus points.

Singapore is really really organized and high tech. Local transport is damn good. One does not even need a car. Standard of living is high. I would love to work out of there. Close to home, and a nice city. Food is a bit weird though.

First of all, Hong Kong isn't a country (I know, nitpicking).

Second of all, I wouldn't want to live in any of these countries to be honest. The only one I'd consider would be the Netherlands, since I admire aspects of their society and it's a good country in many ways, but the major drawback with the Netherlands is that it's too crowded there.

1. Singapore => to many rules; to expensive; horrible climatization
2. Hong Kong => to expensive; to "exotic"
3. United Arab Emirates (UAE) => muslim country ; to hot; no fun; no winter/rain
4. Mexico => to dangerous
5. Australia => OK but pretty far
6. United States => to dangerous; bad infrastructure; expensive education
7. France => nice country!; good working conditions
8. China => to undevelopped; way to foreign
9. Netherlands => OK but to wet and to less sun
10. United Kingdom =>a bit expensive and humid, but still acceptable; might happen in the future

Does anyone know if someone speaking English and French can find a management job in Singapore/HK?

Mandarin/Cantonese is a pre-requisite?

Interesting choice of countries. I have never had the urge to leave the US for a foreign country unless it was to visit as a tourist. So I cant vote in the poll.

Nopes, those two languages of Mandarin/Cantonese are not mandate. English is the common language. A lot of MNCs are there, they prefer English. Of course a degree in management or relevant experience is needed. My relatives work there, none know the native languages. By the way, Tamil is one of the official languages there. It is all over the sign boards....!

I think it would be interesting to live in Singapore as well as in Malaysia, when I was at highschool I wanted to live in Malaysia or Singapore since both countries have got Muslim communities and nice food and interesting culture But once I started to study I changed my mind due to several reasons. One of the reasons were the climate
