I typed arabic news in youtube and got following videos:

http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...55l594l2.3l5l0

feel free and pick one of the videos or a couple of them, so you can compare them with Turkish
Picked one up, found it different to your language.

The Fusha Arabic is very beautiful language but today it only spoken and use on the media & historical films.

The Fusha Arabic is like this

How is this different from the normal Arabic used. I picked one word in the first link, "Kareeb". What does that mean...? What about Farsi, is that also used in your area, or loan words..?

Nothing like Arabic, it it vey distinct. Where are Farsi sounds more similar because of all the arabic loanwords. I don't know how many Tukish has.
Actually a few days ago I was thinking about yogurt(the etymology to be more specific) I thought its probably Turkish, sure enough it is.

Yeah unfortunately ignorance manifests itself in different ways amongst all peoples.

Yeah yoghurt = in Turkish yogurt and it is originating from the Turkish word yogurt.

People usually think that all Muslim majority countries are Arabs, except perhaps Albania, Central Asia and Indonesia.

The Fusha Arabic is the original language of arabs of arabia
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Classical_Arabic
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Modern_Standard_Arabic

the modern arabic dialects are kinda different from the original arabic to the point considered sub languages of arabic .... anyway modern arabs understand fusha and other middle eastern arabic dialects except the north african, southern yemeni dialects

It's spoken faster than I would expect. I've tried pronouncing Turkish from some of the writings here, and I normally pronounce it slow. I always view the Altaic languages to be somewhat visual in nature also.

It sounds like a language that's from around the area, Anatolia, Middle East, Caucasus, Iran, etc. I'm going to try to listen to the other Turkic languages as a comparison and see if I can point out the similarities.

A Russian friend of mine (Russian-Russian) who lived in Kazakhstan that our language sounds somewhat similar but the difference is we speak it more softer while Kazakhs' language sound more harder/aggressive.

That's probably true. The colder climate may have something to do with it. Kazakhstan has a harsh climate from what I know. It can be 80 degrees Farenheight during the day, and be below zero during the night. Who knows why they have a harsher diction.

I agree with this guy. It doesn't sound like Arabic. As I'm not familiar with Central Asian languages, I can't really compare it to another.

But it sounds nice.
