In a spaniard forum we calculate the actual cost, by subtracting the tax contributions of immigrants to the sum total of what they spend (cost of prisoners, education, health, integration campaigns, subsidies ...), and the overall result was that they cost 15.000 milion euros per year, ie 2'5 times more than it contributes.

I have nothing against immigration per se being it rational and smart..

clarification; immigrant doctors or engineers are usually dutch, germans, persians and poles, any sane person except the government's website wouldn't put them in the same level of bottom rockets groups like albanians and somalis. which are not immigrants, but pseudo refugees wanting to live here without to work.

It's ironic that they have a hate speech law (Hets mot folkgrupp), said to protect everybody but Swedes, if the "ethnic" immigrants and their descendants with Swedish citizenships are so Swedish.

In Sweden there was a huge media-campaign against the SD party (a new party opponents to multikulture and who wants very strict immigration) before the election last year. Politicians were shitscared seeing they would make it to the parliament (4 % of votes is needed) so they started a real campaign agaisnt it a couple of years before the election in september 2010. You were basically labelled as a devil or a sicko if you supported them. They were ridicouled in TV. On the day of the election, our biggest newspaper had a frontpage showing a ballotpaper for SD lying in a puddle. Newspaper should not have that kind of bias but they had. Headline was: Today we are voting for Sweden - against xenophobia.
