Depends on what you're talking about.
http://www.bloodbook.com/african.html The problem for blacks in the United States is that there is a disproportionately large number of individuals with rare Blood types unique to that race. In our opinion, this is a very serious health risk in the African American Black community that must no longer be ignored. Those who need a Blood transfusion require an exact match of certain Blood traits of the Blood donor with their own. Statistically, because these traits are inherited, a patient's most likely match is another family member. Unfortunately, over 70% of African American Blacks can not find a Blood type match within their own families. They, therefore, require an unrelated individual willing to be tested and then to donate Blood. This is very simple in words, but when the reality of this acute need sets in, the order is, more often than not, too tall. The result is often fatal. |

* In 2006, African American men were 30% more likely to die from heart disease, as compared to non-Hispanic white men.
* African Americans were 1.5 times as likely as non-Hispanic whites to have high blood pressure. * African American women were 1.7 times as likely as non-Hispanic white women to be obese. |

Socioeconomic factors aside which leads to premature deaths in black people. Blacks die more of chronic diseases. ''healthy" really has nothing to do with "sports ability" that is a dumb comparison, many champion athletes die early and in poor health, due to the constant strain on their bodies at a very young age. Blacks often die younger than Asians or whites, but it is almost always due to chronic diseases that have to do with diet and exercise, the living standards are different, so it is hard to compare across the board. Like I said, when looking at genetic illnesses, whites (and secondary Asians) seem to manifest a lot more, the only one I can think of for blacks that is somewhat common in Sickle Cell Anemia, but "Sickle Cell Trait" is a genetic benefit, it is two copies that make you sick, and most people don't die from it, they just have a painful life when it flares up (but it is not a constant thing, not like M.S., Tay-Sachs, etc). |

African descent people looking younger than whites has nothing to do with whether they are healthier. Its more so that Africans have more melanin and spend less time in the sun. Also many Africans use more effective moisturisers like Shea butter etc.
Overall I belive the healthiest races are Asian descent people. Neither Europeans or Africans beat Asians when it comes to health |

* In 2006, African American men were 30% more likely to die from heart disease, as compared to non-Hispanic white men. Such as Germans. Richard Cooper, M.D., and his team compared blood pressure of black populations in Nigeria, Jamaica and the United States, and whites in the United States, Canada and five European countries. When viewed internationally, there is a wide variation of high blood pressure among blacks and whites. Results show hypertension in people of African origin ranges from 14 percent to 44 percent, while in white populations it ranges from 27 percent to 55 percent. Most importantly, say the researchers, the study revealed blacks in Nigeria have a hypertension rate that's more than half the rate of white Europeans and Americans. Results also show the incidence of high blood pressure among blacks seems to increase with industrialization. The total prevalence in Nigerians ages 35 to 64 is 13.5 percent, in Jamaicans it is 28.6 percent, and in U.S. blacks, it is 44 percent. The study authors conclude the impact of environmental factors among both populations may have previously been underestimated. This article was reported by Ivanhoe.com, who offers Medical Alerts by e-mail every day of the week. To subscribe, go to: http://www.ivanhoe.com/newsalert/. [quote] For blacks, populations in Nigeria, Jamaica and the US were studied, while for whites, populations in the US, Canada and five European countries were studied. If racial origin played a major role in high blood pressure, then rates of the condition for each race would be expected to be about the same regardless of where people lived. Instead, the researchers found wide variation in rates, ranging from 14 percent for blacks in some geographic regions to 44 percent in other places. For whites, the rates ranged from 27 percent to 55 percent depending on where people lived. The lowest rate of high blood pressure (13.5 percent) was among blacks living in Nigeria, while the highest (55.3 percent) was among whites in Germany. Among blacks, rates of the condition were higher for people living in more industrialized places. For example, Nigerians had a rate of 13.5 percent, Jamaicans a rate of 28.6 percent and US blacks a rate of 44 percent. [quote] http://thestudyofracialism.org/viewt...&t=148&start=0 It does not break down the scores by population in this article, but I've seen the study, about 4 different major European white ethnic groups have higher blood pressure than black Americans, that's why the white range is so spread. So are Europeans genetically inferior to white Americans (Western Europeans?) I doubt it, I think their is diet. I would also argue that (and there was a study on this) that having dark skin in non-tropical clients reduces vitamin D and this "environmental pressure' leads to a few chronic disease in African Americans, that Caribbean and Africans don't get. Carribena blacks are not genetically different from African Americans, not most of them, about the same mix of admixture. http://www.ivanhoe.com/channels/p_ch...?storyid=10301 So why don't we actually think about the data we are posting instead of just throwing up shit to support what we want to hear?????? |

Its hard to define healthy since socio-economic factors come into play. Regarding genetic disorders, or predisposition towards certain diseases, i dont believe there has ever been a comparative study in general. Some diseases whites are more predispositioned to, some blacks.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1599913/ here a study that indirectly links to african men having a higher risk for prostate cancer for instance though the specific effect and cause still unknown. So besides genetic diseases, is it possible to simply look at the immune-system of both populations? I dont think so. I do believe however, that survival of the fittest is much more present in contemporary africa without its social health system that takes care for the weak. |

He still looked much younger than your average 50 year old white guy. White people get wrinkles and gray hair much earlier in life than blacks and asians do, I see that all around me. |

The same with me I notice too that people who are Black or East Asian especially seem to still younger than White folks generally even when about the same age. darker people wrinkle less, most white women over the age of 35 need botox or some crap, I know 50 year old black women with less wrinkles than 30 year would white women. That's just reality. It is especially bad for white in more Southern areas (like most of America is way South of Europe for example)...the sun is stronger. However the sun in America is not as strong as anywhere in Africa, unless you live on a mountain top or something. |

[QUOTE=JackKnightstick;174462]This is misleading because African men and Carribean men don't suffer as much from high blood pressure, and many Europeans suffer worse from high blood pressure than African American men do...
