They are almost a pure breed of negro: that's why Haiti resembles Africa not only in its inhabitants, but also in poverty, crime, AIDS and diseases, undernourishment, slavery, underdevelopment. ![]() SilverKnight was a confused troll, a liar and an identity theft. He grabbed pictures of a remote friend of his and made it seem like she was his girlfriend: it's not only a felony, but also a complete disregard for the word trust. That kid had no moral values. |

Didnt you just criticize Silvernight for having no moral values and yet here you are and on other posts being racist which could be considered immoral. I'm not saying it is or isnt thats for people on their own to decide. Its yours or i's or anyones choice to be racist or whatever i'm not judging you for that just like its Silvernights choice to steal pictures. You might consider that "immoral" but i and others dont. People put there pictures online and they should know that obviously anyone can steal them and use them for their own reasons. If they dont like it or you dont like it then dont put it online and then complain about it when the inevitable happens. Acting all high and mighty on that thread and talking about how Silvernight was so immoral for committing a felony and stealing pictures and making all kinds of judgements about him as if you were better than him is pathetic and hypocritical. At least admit it since your supposably so against the disregard of trust and honor or whatever. I got news for you Zabrina and everyone else like you. Your not better than anyone else. Your just a collection of cells just like the rest of us and your gonna end up the same as the rest of us despite what you may think ![]() |

They are almost a pure breed of negro: that's why Haiti resembles Africa not only in its inhabitants, but also in poverty, crime, AIDS and diseases, undernourishment, slavery, underdevelopment. Let me show you how low the murder rate was for Haiti in 2008. The UN recorded 487 murders across a 12 month period. With a population of roughly 9.8 million (in 08), that was basically 4.98 homicides per 100,000 people (that's lower than the US average ![]() Jamaica in comparison, committed more than 1660 murders in 2009 (much lower than their record high). It was roughly the equivalent of 59.24 murders per 100,000 people. Honestly, if the country could rid itself of corrupt leaders, a lot of good could be done for the people of Haiti. Unfortunately, the politicians continue to get rich off foreign aid money while the rest of the country starves. I mean between the EU and the US, that was 1.362 billion USD Haiti received in order to fix itself up. What the fuck happened to all that money? ![]() |

Do you honestly believe Haiti has the bureocratic capacity to gather this data when they are unable to take care of their own people? Shelter, food, clean water, disease prevention, law enforcement are all lacking in Haiti, yet they misteriously are able to provide information on murder rates. No, Haiti has an area of 27,750 km2 and Dominican Republic of 48,442 km2. The DR ocupies two thirds of the island which make it larger than Haiti. |

I have not seen many genetical studies on Haiti, but i know one Haitian who took a DNA test, i am not sure where, but she came out as 60% African, 10% Native, 30% euro, might be Africanancestry.com or something, i am not sure i need to ask her again. I think quite a few Haitians will have native admixture, although in small amounts, and a few will have high native admixture, higher then 10%. European admixture is probably higher then native admixture in Haiti. a1f2.jpg Incidentally, I remember reading somewhere that, despite the time elapsed since that treaty, there is still a small spanish speaking community with ancestral roots on Hinche of about 2,000 people. Not everyone chose to move to the current DR side of the island as soon as the last treaty was signed. |

That girl with the native admixture must have a dominican or two on her family tree, and most likely peasants from the Central Plateau of the island. Before the final border treaty of the 1930's, the DR used to be larger than it currently is, some 3,165km2 more or something (51,607km2). ![]() Wouldn't even be worth taking back the Central Plateau at this point, once a fertile area. |

How can speaking the truth be considered immoral? People like you love to judge and criticize Spewing out trash while your own shit multiplies Its fine to speak the truth in order to see and learn But acting superior just leads you to crash and burn Setting yourself up like a target ready to be shot into By people who've got plenty of shit to say about you too You say you can handle it and your fine under fire But then you end up losing, now who's the liar? And about stealing pics, no one wants yours, fool Your just a guy in black glasses trying to look "cool" So dont expect a felony and a trip to Judge Judy Where you'd end up a loser crying and all moody So much for your superior stance, In Zabersus we Trust Your religion ended up like all others, a huge bust Speaking of trust, you act like your the Federal Reserve Bank You'd be left with no money ending up walking off the plank Drowning in your own bullshit that you created Becoming everything that you ever said you hated Nothing left to keep you from going under and staying afloat Because all the bullets came right back and put holes in your boat Just like everyone thought the Titanic couldnt sink Your not as invincible as you may think |

Re-read my post. Haiti didn't compile the data, they do not release data on crime statistics as much like you mentioned they are very ill-equipped to do so. The U.N. compiles all of Haiti's crime statistics (they're the only known group to do so). ---------- Post added 2010-11-27 at 15:50 ---------- Zabrina all i got to say is: |

DR is not smaller learn your geography! Niether is it smaller in population either DR now has 10 million haiti has 9 ![]() I never mentioned the geography you twit. I mentioned population size comparative to the number of homicides that occurred in Haiti in 2008. Haiti had a population of roughly 9.8 million at the time (prior to the earthquake), the D.R. in contrast had a population size of roughly 9.5 million. So clearly the D.R. was smaller in 08. Besides the World Factbook (a goverment-funded website) has the D.R. listed as having 9.8 million people (and not 10 million) so I don't know where you're getting those averages? Wikipedia? ![]() And Haiti today doesn't have 9 million (considering they had 9.8 in 2008), they've got roughly 9.7 million people (post-earthquake), they clearly had more prior to the 200,000 fatalities in 2009. But even with the recent dip, they're still not far behind, and likely to reclaim the lead (they have a higher birthrate than the D.R.). And haitis crime rate is much more than DR the reason why statistics appear lower is because there is no law, haitians don't report all the crimes commited since there is no law. To remind you haiti every year comes in 10TH placce of the failed states meaning the couuntry is out of control and a messed up government At the end of the day, I'll take the word of an internationally known co-op/organization over that of a nation which would have incentive to mask it's out-of-control crime problem. Again, it wouldn't be Haiti releasing the data, but the friggin UN. Why would the United Nations lie? One counter example, is a country like Jamaica, while I believe they're releasing a good portion of the data, there's no reason to believe they can't be omitting a portion of it as well, just to make their country as tourist-friendly as possible (the problem is, when you top 1500 hundred murders consistently, I don't know how you can expect to be seen as tourist-friendly). Either the data is very limited or it's just plain bullshit: there is no way Haiti is safer than other Carribean countries. You're clearly reaching mayne. Haiti has it's fair share of problems, but crime, especially violent crime, ain't one of them. When people are too busy dying off from starvation and other assorted problems, you really think they have time to think about committing crimes. Commit a crime where? To get what? Country is broke as hell, and most of the rich keep themselves well isolated from the commoners, so generally, there's no chance of jacking "king creole." Basically, to sum it up, Haiti is so poor, its people literally can't afford to commit too many crimes. |

For some reason alot of Haitian artists look very different from the general pop., look at these guys for example, not even the darker ones look like the haitians I'm used to seeing. Based on these people you would think Haiti was more european than most of the anglo west indies when that clearly isn't the case. Is the music industry in haiti mainly dominated by the middle class minority/elite?
(the last photo is a regular haitian, to show the contrast) |
