Well, sure, but all soldiers went through it, and besides that, all landowners were part of the "citizenry" in this very egalitarian and democratic period. I'm not saying it was classless but pretty much only slaves were not eligible since they were not even Greeks, as they never enslaved other Greeks, if I'm not mistaken.

Which ever race has the largest proportion of gay people. Which is impossible to figure out so therefore this thread has no concrete answer.

Gayest - does this mean the most overtly homosexual or the weakest men? Well, given the encouragement to Europeans to embrace their homosexuality and to do it very openly, I would have to say northern Europeans in particular are the most camp. gayest as in the weakest examples of masculinity, I would have to say East Asians, be they Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Filipino - they don't strike me as being very masculine at all.
