An interesting demographic development, the resettlement of Germany by Jews. Germany is now home to the third largest Jewish community in Europe, and the fastest growing.
After the war the Jewish community started to slowly grow again, fueled primarily by immigration from the former USSR. By the 21st century, the Jewish population of Germany approached 200,000, and Germany had the only growing Jewish community in Europe [...] life in the capital Berlin is prospering, the Jewish community is growing, the Centrum Judaicum and several synagogues—including the largest in Germany[37]—have been renovated and opened, and Berlin’s annual week of Jewish culture and the Jewish Cultural Festival in Berlin, held for the 21st time, featuring concerts, exhibitions, public readings and discussions[38][39] can only partially explain why Rabbi Yitzhak Ehrenberg of the orthodox Jewish community in Berlin states: “Orthodox Jewish life is alive in Berlin again ... Germany is the only European country with a growing Jewish community.” http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jews_in_Germany HaGalil is the most widespread German Jewish magazine, Aufbau is also another famous one HaGalil is an online magazine published in German relating to the issues of Judaism, German Jewry and Israel. HaGalil is considered as the most widespread magazine of its kind in German, with over 380,000 monthly visitors (August 2009). The magazine was established by David Gall in 1995, and is since then published by him and Eva Ehrlich, both of whom are German-Jews residents of Munich. The magazine operates two offices in Munich and Tel Aviv. http://www.hagalil.com http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HaGalil_Online Aufbau is a journal for German-speaking Jews around the globe. It was founded in 1934 and is a member of Internationale Medienhilfe (IMH). Hannah Arendt, Albert Einstein, Thomas Mann, and Stefan Zweig wrote for the publication. Until 2004 it was published in New York. It is now published in Zürich. http://www.aufbauonline.com/ Newer Synagogues have been built and older ones re-built (see pics) |

What are you laughing about nationalistic clown? 23andme has clearly proven me I have some distant Jewish ancestry, as well as cousins. But the threads topic is clearly not about me so lets not get into that . Jewish are such impressive individuals, when it comes to progress and traditions. I'm proud of having some ashkenazi decendancy ... Too bad some muslims are always there to fuck things up for the Jews. |
