im curious if anybody in this forum at one point had any form of prejudice against any group...i was never racist but at one point i used to be pretty homophobic and just really disliked gay people... but of course actually meeting them and understanding them changed my views and now actually one of my closest friends is gay but at point did you feel any kind of uncomfortable or just did not like any kind of group

No I can't say that I've ever had any negative prejudices towards anyone based on their race. I've always had a diverse group of friends, and I find foreigners to be very fascinating. Though I could say that I'm prejudiced towards certain sub cultures. |

southeast asians aframs Those are the only 3 I have ever had prejudice against for any amount of time in my life. It did not stop me from making friends from any of the aforementioned groups however... Also it really depends on how certain individuals carry themselves if they seem hostile via the way they dress or act then I would steer away (the way Soul Unlimited put it... certain sub-cultures). But any individual who seems friendly, I dont have any problem making friends with. |

its especially hard though when youre parents at least in my case kind of indoctrinated me into believing that gay people were going to hell and they lead a sinful lifestyle

When I was a kid I was afraid of Hatians, because my mom would tell me that if I didn't eat my food they would come, and get me. I've also heard all sorts of stories like Hatians would kidnap kids to sell their organs, and I especially remember my neighbor telling me to watch out for Hatians, since they liked to kidnap blond kids to make voodo lol (i had blond hair when I was a kid). All of this made me very afraid of Hatians, but fortunately I eventually grew out of it.

At one point i also had some prejudices against jewish because I known some of them that fit the classical stereotype of a supposed greedy traitors in business jew, and you know, shit like that....fortunately I have gotten rid of those prejudices againts any group.
I used to have these prejudices against sud east asians and india as I have know some of them very dirty and stinking fellows belonging to those races. On the other hand one of the most correct, nice and clean gentlemen I've ever met when visiting G B. was this dude from india, he was from north india. The moral is: When you met someone who fits the stereotypes there are dozens who doesn't. |

Wiggers, guidos and other trashy and/or ghetto people in general. I'm also a little prejudiced against teenagers right now. Now that I'm a bit older I'm realizing how rude and disrespectful they usually are. |

Yea same but for me I now separate an individual from what he/she does. I mean everyone has certain beliefs/ideals that can get offended by someone else's actions but why hold them on those things? It all boils down to being open minded and looking at an individual for who they are instead of one or two things they do. Unless everything that they do and how they act offend you, It shouldnt be a problem |
