There is this idea that Jews were chosen by God to widespread his word - the chosen nation. I don't know how it is now, but there was a time when Jews really represented themselves as the chosen ones and of course others didn't like that. The second and the most important reason is the non-recognition of Jesus as the son of the God. European and American cultures are based on Christian values, so even atheists living in Europe or in America are part of this Christian culture and identity that from the crucifixion of Jesus has kept this antipathy towards Jews. This antipathy lies in the essence of our culture

In August, Yosef caused a diplomatic uproar when he wished a plague upon the Palestinian people and their leaders, a curse he retracted a few weeks later, when he blessed them along with all of Israel’s other peace-seeking neighbors

Of course in the wider perspective of things, as I always say, Islam and Christianity are right up there with Judaism in terms of shit-stirring. I'd say perhaps the reason Jews are often singled out is because they are a smaller minority, of which the majority are minorities in different countries. There is only a single Jewish state and that state is the most controversial on earth. I'd imagine if the Jewish population were higher and there were more Jewish countries, there wouldn't be large communities separating themselves from the general population, which would in turn lead to less friction.

For Christians the New Testament is the most important part of the Bible. It is our beginning, it is the keystone for our faith. For Jews it is like a mendacious fiction, because Jews don't believe in Jesus as the Saviour. They are still waiting for him to come.
I have read Torah and I had a course about Jewish history and culture. My great grandfather was a Jew, so I am really into all these things.

All three major religions of the world - Judaism, Christianity and Islam are really similar, especially when it comes to different activities that are part of the religious life.
In Judaism Jesus was and still is seen as liar, in Christianity he is the Saviour, but in Islam he is one of the prophets.

I don't understand it. Jews have accomplished a lot in the sciences and other areas. There are certainly more undesirable populations of people than Jews. Especially now that Christian religion isn't as important in Europe, why dislike Jews? The only people who have a valid dislike for them are Palestinians. I've met Arabs from North Africa who hate Jews. These idiots have zero connection to Palestine........
