the first pic on the fair skin seem to be lightened by the sun, I don't beleive that is he skin color, but a darker one.the second one must be of the mysterious tribe of Igbo. The light brown seem to be ethiopian and another Igbo,
Igbo shouldn't be a good example of the whole West African spectrum, neither east Africans.
1. The first girl is naturally light skin. I believe that she's from the Delta region in Nigeria.

http://t0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:A...c7Bajd2xkR&t=1

2. Yes she is... and no the Igbo are not mysterious

3. Ethiopian

4. Tanzanian

They are representative of West African diversity; Igbo's, other proto-Bantu West Africans, and Central African Bantu speakers all have high frequencies of lighter skinned people. It's likely an environmental adaption to the lack of sunlight in the Central African rainforest/Congo river basin. This is a thread about black women, that Ethiopian lady is a black woman.

But men evaluate women based on their "feminine characteristics". Surely a girl you find very attractive would be much more likely to look "ideally feminine" to you as well and a girl you find unattractive will look less feminine since her "female characteristics" don't appeal to you as much. Femininity is very subjective, some would say that petite body shapes are more "feminine" while others would say that large hips are more "feminine".

I'm also curious regarding whether or not men really associate light/dark skin colors with femininity or masculinity.
Not rleated to either fmeninity or masculinity but for beauty(colinized minds consider light skinned people as the epitethome of beauty)

Which of these groups of women would you as a guy be attracted to most in terms of beauty/femininity? Please explain why you choose whichever group, did you find any of them overly feminine or masculine looking? Also, did you focus more on their skin color or facial features?

The poll is only for men.

1 and 2- light complected/featured.

3 and 4- medium complected/featured.

5 and 6- dark complected/featured.

7 and 8- very dark complected/featured.

All of them are pretty, but they obviously look very different.
Jessica White is more on the darker side of things imo.

The Igbo do have those high frequencies, I can't say the same about the rest of West Africans

There have been studies that show that men within a certain population usually prefer the lighter skinned women within their group naturally, even in remote regions of the planet and that it has been a historical fact throughout human history. Supposedly men consider women slightly lighter than them more attractive and women consider men slightly darker than them more attractive. I have heard lots of guys here say the same thing, it would be better to hear their perspectives.

Yeah, she does look a lot darker in those pictures.

Because Igbo's are proto-Bantu "forest people". Igbo's and other eastern Nigerians, Cameroonians, Congolese etc. usually have higher frequencies of lighter skinned people. They live in densely vegetated regions, i.e. Central African rainforest, therefore a decrease of lightsun exposure. Why would Senegambians who live in the desert be light skinned?

It depends on the purpose, namely:

One night stand = Everything goes, or in good spanish: "hola y adios".
Marriage = From medium complexion to light. The finer the features, the better.

Don't blame the player, blame the game. It's a superficial, euro dominated world out there, so you have to think on the children. Give them a headstart, sort of.

I can also find dark skinned Igbo:

those medium brown and the second dark brown girl.. fantastic.

I'm finding I'm not a fan of mulattos.

Colonial mentality.
not necessarily. As exampled by me, a ~white guy can be more attracted to darker black women(even or especially with african features) than light skinned ones. I don't think black features go well with light skin is all.. Would you say I have been colonized by Africans?

Igbo, Yoruba, and Fulani-Hausa are the three major tribes of Nigeria. But there are many more (250). The ones that are closely related to the Igbo, in the east, have the same skin tone variation... in addition to Central Africans. Do yourself a favor and catch a plane to Africa, the internet doesn't do us justice.

As I said, their dna must be studied to find why they have this tone, there must be a scientifi undertsnadable expalnation to it,
Another issues is that Afrmas use it as an excuse to say that there are also light skinned black in the US.

You are a white guy, you are of the colonial elite, or even not dominated by another culture, also you are of the minority who do it, most white guy prefer to date their own, but here in LATAm people have a preference to light skin because of colonail mentality, as it is the norm on our countires to like light skin women.

Igbo's are 100% African according to the genetic data we have on them. They (SE Nigerians/Cameroonians) probably inherited a "light skin" gene that eventually spread with the Bantu migrations to Central Africa and so fourth. We haven't found it yet though.

Fuck the norm man. But a matter of taste doesn't always mean colonial mentality.. You can't always claim that someone who prefers certain features that are not the norm for their own race is colonized or whatever else. Also, I'm no colonial elite. Very cultural Jew. I fight the dominating WASP and Guido cultures every day.
