I know/have met a bunch, and people just see them as hispanic after figuring out about their ethnicity. I remember a stereotypical "ghetto" nuyorican family when I was younger where almost everyone was white with freckles

I'd imagine it's pretty common in the Miami/Florida area. You also have alot of Hispanics who are within the iberian range of phenotypes, but still look "hispanic" rather than White

Maybe they are European Spanish and are therefore white. Their names can sound Hispanic since most Hispanic people have Spanish names.

This is a very strange question as 'Hispanic' refers to anything related to Spain, which is a European country.

A co-worker/friend of mine has a Spanish last name (he's 1/8 Spaniard and the rest Euro hodge podge) but no one thinks of him as "Hispanic".

I know, but you wouldn't expect it to be odd for people with a Spanish (European) last name to look European. I suppose it is in the United States, but a little perspective would be nice.

Spaniards alway bitch about being equal to Latin American mestizos.
Now my question is, why the fuck they mixed with Natives in the first place?
That's what they get I believe that's your point isn't

Those where last names given to africans.

Mestizos have Hispanic last name because spaniards wanted to mix, and those lastnames stated to flow.
Native Americans don't have hispanic last names.

The full-blooded Spaniards usually look a little different to white Hispanics, most of whom carry at least a little Native blood.

The majority as a whole is so ill-informed about race and culture it's expected for them to have no idea what you're talking about.
