I would not say, that people in Southern Europe have stronger personalities.
Cultures how people express themselves and what is considered acceptable
are quite different.

E.g. Finns are quite stubborn and appreciate freedom and individualism,
we go through 'a gray stone', if needed according to a Finnish saying.
But you do not have to explode, yell and go bananas, just do it and get
it done. A Finn has patience up until to the last point and after that I recommend
running to all bystanders.

Southern Europeans scream and behave aggressive for 5 minutes and nothing happens.

There's the difference.
Indeed, our teens dont kill the other students in high schools. They punch each other. I believe is healthier

Finland has most guns in the world after US or something like that.

School shootings is not a Finnish phenomena, but an international problem.

It's odd to use any nation as defining characteristics of other nations. The English don't act like Swedes. The Swedes don't act like Germans. Germans don't act like French, etc. You can break it down further within nations by regions. Sicilians aren't like Lombards and Basques aren't like Andalusians, etc.. Each nation is peculiar in their habits and when you look deeper most regions have their own habits.

Falkata, no need to troll Finns. Stupidity shouldn't be matched with stupidity. I don't think anyone cares about a few school shootings and the last thing I want read is pages upon pages of stupidity.

Other example are the cat callings in streets.. Southern europeans are sexually much more agressive and make the women know when they are interested in.. i haven't seen those in northern europe at all.. just very very dull approaches which would make laugh your average valerio at rome streets...

No im a mix of south euro and balt currently residing in north-west europe.

It's obvious specially during holiday seasson when north-euro girls go to places like spain, italy or greece they get more attention than they have ever experienced during most of their lifes in their home countries.

It´s the same the other way round and I think it´s related with being "exotic" .´
The only times that I´ve been approached by girls in clubs or bars I was abroad

Yes you are right Falkie, but i get more often noticing northern girls approaching more often southern men when in northern europe than the other way around. In contrast when in southern europe i notice it's more often southerneuro guys approaching northern european girls (guiris) rather than southern euro girls approaching the northern guys.. Maybe its related to the fact that dark is often associated with masculine in opposed to light features which are associated to the femenine gender, and not merely a fact of how common and uncommon features might be in certain place.

But their relationships won't work out anyway when the mothers of the Southern guys, who the "masculine" Southern guys seem to depend on so much and live with in their 30s, don't happen to like them.

Spanish girls and in general southern chicks aren´t as liberal as their northern counterparts They always wait until the guy comes to talk with them and one night stands are very rare. There´s still some of the old Franquist-Catholic way of thinking on them (passed by their parents) although they would be considered sluts if they lived 30 years ago lol

I somehow agree with you but I think guiris dudes are smarter because their girls aren´t as spoiled as ours
And about the preferences of spanish girls I think they just have problems with the very light/pinky dudes or some exotic baltoid types, but i dont think they´d have any problem with your average blondish californian surfer type

Some of them maybe think pale blond rough guys are more masculine than the fancy tanned blond surfers

It's the same with how women view emotional guys, from my personal experiences some girls like it, while some find them weak and feminine. The women who likes emotional guys usually also likes the fancy metrosexual singer with jewelry who sings romantic songs.

I once told a girl I chat with that I can be very romantic and she like "can you? don't tell me you write poems too". I said no (because I don't write poems), and aksed her if she don't want to hear sweet poem from a guy and she said "no, that digusts me."

girls can get too spoiled from hearing too much cat callings and complimants from strangers, which can put men who does that in a weak and humiliation position. I've heard about guys refusing to buy drinks to unknown ladies in clubs because they don't want to give an advantage for them to exploit it (that's said asking a guy for a drink and then move away from him directly and ask the next one)

Yes, it's obvious, but it's true for local southern girls too.

Summer Holidays is a special situation...

I was waiter in a hotel terrace during a summer, Lloret de Mar. Not a sophisticated place indeed.

Everybody, absolutely everybody, spaniars, catalans (insula where are you?) foreigners, tourist, workers... were mad for fucking (well, make love) to everybody.

I'm quite good-looking, (although it was not a necessary condition) and I got girls and women (or they got me) from finland to morocco, including a lot of spaniars, and a big lot of german and english girls, the most large groups there.

Vice and lust all over the place...

It was good I think, but since then I've never lived that situation in normal life.

In normal life I'm a bit shy, like the most part of my 'latin-lovers' or 'iberian-macho' friends.

I noticed that this question is geared toward Europe, but since I live in the US, I notice a lot of differences between Northerners and Southerners here, too.

I live in the north and I've noticed that people here tend to keep more to themselves and are not as open about matters. I think people here also tend to be more serious in general.

In the south, people tend to be much more relaxed about things and are usually very, very friendly toward strangers and welcome people with open arms. Life also feels like it moves at a slower pace as well.

I really do think that the differences between Northerners and Southerners here has a lot to do with the general weather patterns. Up in the north we're stuck with gloomy winter weather and the cold. Therefore, we tend to stay indoors a lot more and keep to ourselves. In the South, the weather is usually a lot warmer and really hot during the summer months and naturally, people are going to be more out-and-about and get in touch with others a lot more frequently. Life also seems to be slower-paced because, well, who wants to move around quickly all the time during a really hot summer? One would just generate more body heat and get even hotter. It may sound a little ridiculous, but I think that the heat has a lot to do with the slower pace of life in the south.

This is all taken from my life experiences... I've only vacationed in the South and have never lived there so my opinions are not based off of anything too significant.

This is also pretty funny... it's a list of the supposed differences between Northern and Southern girls in the US. I must admit that it also has some truth to it!

Northern Girls vs. Southern Girls
