Turkey's 38 is a deceiving number. For the Koc, Sabanci, Sahenk, etc. families these numbers just represent the number of family members who are in the board of directors. In reality all those guys owe their money to their fathers or grandfathers.

A country's wealth should be measured by disparity rather than number of opportunist dickheads.

Sorry, billionaires.

Not really, happiness indices usually correlate with percieved equality in a nation rather than percieved wealth.

I'm not for forced wealth equality, but I'm not for creating climates that allow the rich to get richer with ease.

The other interesting aspect is how many of the richest people of the world live in the US. Contrary to what many say, the American economy is very strong and it is no surprise that they dominate these numbers so thoroughly. Impressive also is how many billionaires come from Russia. From the way the "Western media" depicts Russia one would never expect that.

Interesting information. The number of Chinese billionaires has risen dramatically.
