Her dad looks typically white American, her mom looks very Asian. Somehow this mix made her look Puerto Rican.

The Negrito element in Filipino/white mixed often gives them a pseudo mulattoid/triracial look.

Though he could pass as a tripartite mixed New worlder to a person unfamiliar with Negritos. Hell even I wouldn't assume he was Filipino based entirely on physical features; rather some 'black' admixed person or mulattoid type as Bandar hinted at.

Some do, but I'd say most don't. SE Asians usually look very distinct from full-blooded Amerinds, though there is some degree of phenotypical overlap. I once mistook a very dark Vietnamese guy for a heavily Amerind Mexican, but he was very atypical individual for Viets even in terms of his facial features as well. Such people are usually more common among Cambodians and Filipinos.

Now, if we are talking about SE Asian mestizos, then yes, several of them could pass with ease.

I believe all far east asians got some tiny amounts of austroloid features. I dont think it is something negative that filipinos, chinese, thais and so on got a little bit of pre mongoloid asian features. What is making the asian race so special is that we can live in arctic and tropical climates. Without the flat broad asian nose asians wouldnt have spread in so many climate zones.

It's a well-known fact,southern Mongoloids are mixture between Mongoloids and Australoids,nothing wrong with it
