 Is my mom or her bf racist?
My mom doesn't like highly Mexican populated places. She thinks they should be better immigrants. She considered herself white. She's white just not the European type. She's Pashtun and Punjabi. Anyway, society treats her as white. She's dated a skinhead before. She does not like Jews even she looks Jewish and probably has semetic ancestry most middle eastern people do. My dad's not white. He's from India and not the typical Indian. He's half siddis which is an Indian but of a minority race. So I got his skin tone and my mom's features and their hair so I look half black. I'm biracial. She's never been upset that I am not white looking like her. My mom's bf is ok with me looking half black but I sometimes think they think that I'm Indian/white looking even though society doesn't. He has a daughter who's a quarter Cherokee. He's said things about Mexicans. He's white English American btw. She likes her Asian ancestry (part Hazara) and her own people too. So what does this make her racist or not? She doesn't say anything about black people. We don't really act like they exist. I consider myself black as well as Indian American because my dad is Indian American. Most of them don't live in our neighborhood. But is my mom or her bf racist or just got a preference?
I mean she doesn't have a problem with black people obviously and can't Mexicans be of any race? So is she or her bf racist or something else? What do you consider racist? |

seems your family has a lot of problems haha. if your mom's boyfriend is a "Racist" skinhead and she's dating him then hes basically being self-contradictory to his beliefs. Indians aren't actually Middle Eastern by the way, they're South-East Asians. I don't know what to say, it seems obvious that your mom and her bf are confused about who they are and their beliefs...so I wouldn't call them racist just very strange/ignorant people because they can't make up their minds and declare something without thinking it over or seeing the possible consequences (sorry to offend you). Your mom's bf dating an Indian is something that a real white racist wouldn't do no matter what. And your mom isn't "white", I don't get what the obsession some people have with being white is. Just be yourself!

Pretty sure India is located in the region called "Southeast Asia" and that they're closer genetically to Indonesians, Pakistanis, Bangladesh people, etc.

And how is that contradictory I mean he was against black people and all that. I think she might be covered as white. Especially if you saw her. Most people on the other thread said she was white like european. Either way she's not indian. What made you think she was indian? Most afghanis are Pashtun not indians. |

How can she be Racist Against people like MIddle easterns or Mexicans or Jews and not be Racist against WHites, I would understand if she was Racist to everyone except Indians but being Racist to middle easterns, Jews and Mexicans and not being Racist to Whites doesn't really sound logical, it sounds like she is suffering from some kind of Inferiority Complex.

I don't know if your mom is racist but she definitely isn't white. And most eastern asians don't really consider Indians to be Asian. They think the white man just decided to lump them in for lack of a better category. LOL!

I'm a certified member of ts. I'm more real than you are I can promise you that. I'm also curious to see what you look like, if you don't mind. I've seen some Siddis in pictures from Gujarat, but they tend to be poor and stay in the region (even though other Gujaratis were often merchants and expanded to different parts of the globe). Is there a significant Siddi diaspora anywhere or is your dad one of a select few? |

I Don't think most Indians or Afghans have Jewish ancestry. Since you said your mother had this kind of ancestry, I don't think she's part Jewish.
