Finland is so backwards that their President's flag still has a swastika on it.
Not that a retard like you can be expected to know where it comes from or anything.

Finland! Are you kidding me? Its coat of arms is a lion stabbing itself in the head because it lives in Finland.
Yes, the world IS kidding you. None of this is actually real. You should shoot yourself in tne head in order to wake up to the real reality.

Completely subjective!

For example, Sweden is a very rich country country, with good healthcare and education.

However, it has got really high rates of suicide. Is that good? Isn't the people's happiness and a high degree of satisfaction the point of a good country?

Well there has been this image of unhappy swedes commiting suicide floating around for along time, same for other nordic countries(which is why that lionsword joke was funny btw), however im not entierly sure we have that much higher levels of suicide than many other nations. Also honesty of reporting these things for what they realy are probably differ quite alot between cultures.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...y_suicide_rate

Lithuania, Belarus, Russia and Ukraine are in the Top 10
Finland is the rich euro country with highest suicide rate.
Spain, Italy and Greece are the euro countries with lowest suicide rate.
It´s not a coincidence i guess

"The following is a list of suicide rates by country according to data from the World Health Organization from 2008 in which a country's rank is determined by its total rate deaths officially recorded as suicides."

You still have the problem of some nations, i would guess non protestant ones maybe not reporting suicide with as much honesty and say write some of them down as carcrash or whatever.

Also the dates for the data collected varied quite alot but i guess it works as a rough estimate.

How so? It´s not a matter of religion, it´s about weather/sunlight,culture and way of living (appart from economy,education... that are already measured in the previous study). There are non-protestan countries like Poland, Serbia, Croatia... who rank high too.
Religion has nothing to do with the stats, it´s the judicial police who decides if it´s a suicide or not, not a priest

Most suicides happens in "atheistic" and most developed countries where peoples can think not only about survival but about their place in Universe... What about Ukraine, Belarus...situation in that countries sometimes depressive even to sanguine)) Stupid country rulers, unfair lows, double standards, poverty, etc... and philosophy

I did not say nations such as Poland etc did not rank high, i was just sugesting that maybe some religious contries scew the numbers, i think i have read about such things beeing done, like drinking gallons of chlorine written down as an accident etc.
I did not say anything about causes of unhappines.

Well...If i lived in Kazakhstan i would have commited suicide myself!
btw watch the years in that list...For example Ukrainian statistic is for 2005...It's not objective...And in times of crisis my guess is there are more people who commit suicide...And well crisis is now)
And well...Suicide is where people dont know what to do ) err...it's like in joke...A man dies and sees another man...He asked "What is this place?" another man answered"Well...we have women here, alcohol, games and no work..." the man asked "So we are in heaven?" and the other man answered "No we are in hell"
Aha emperor?...LOL

Comn....in third world countries, people have worst leaders and they face endless daily harship yet they dont over consume alcohol and take their own life...Despite they know they are fucked beyond repair and the prospect of having a good future life is slim, they always see optimism on the horizone and they alway seek reason and justification to put a smile on their face and carry on.

Unfortunately, they changed it. You had to click "photos" and go through the "Best education", "best this", "best that", etc. until you reached healthcare, but they replaced Cuba with Spain and Australia. It was different a few days ago.
Today Cuba's health care system is in serious desrepair, to say the least. It's not even the best in Latin America. I would say Argentina, Uruguay, Costa Rica or even Chile all have better hospitals and a health system that are better than Cuba's. Cuba has good doctors who will do their best to save you, but many hospitals would be disqualified for services if they were in Spain, the US or even Mexico. Hygiene is terrible. Peope have to take their own sheets, soaps etc. Air conditioning is lacking. Sometimes surgeries are postponed because the operation rooms are not in working order. However, a few hosptals are good and if you need an emergency operation or even a transplant, they will prioritize that and will be performed at no cost if you are a Cuban living in Cuba. Also, those government clinics which cater to cash paying foreigners are really good and do not suffer the same medication shortages or lack of hygiene often found in the other hospitals. What has additionally had a negative effect is the high number of Cuban doctors stationed in other countries, as part of government agreements with those nations.

http://www.newsweek.com/content/news...countries.html

By Tara A. Lewis

With such a huge range of nations in the world, the question of whether there is a best place to live seems both simple and elusive. With that idea in mind, NEWSWEEK offers this list of best countries. Given that there are so many ways to measure achievement, we chose the five we felt were most important—health, economic dynamism (the openness of a country's economy and the breadth of its corporate sector), education, political environment, and quality of life. And because it's easier to improve quality of life if you're tiny and rich like, for example, Finland, the list also accounts for income and size with rankings by subcategories. Like all lists, this one is not perfect, but it offers surprising and fascinating answers and plenty of insight into which country is healthiest, why Scandinavian nations always come out on top, and why the title of best country has more than one winner.

1. Finland
2. Switzerland
3. Sweden
4. Australia
5. Luxembourg
6. Norway
7. Canada
8. Netherlands
9. Japan
10. Denmark
So much for the United States being the "Best Country in the World" as I hear all the time in the American media . Where is the US on this list anyways?

#11.

There's an obvious anti-American bias on this, because who the fuck wants to move to Finland? We get so many people trying to become American that we have to turn some of them away.

Most of your post is nonsense but it does, by chance, touch on a truth. Struggle gives people a sense of purpose. A meaning to their life. They don't have time like we do in first world nations to be all emo and worried about things that aren't important when we look at the big picture that is life. What greater satisfaction can there be than surviving against the odds? To know that every day counts.
