By the way, I don't know about the study. I think people select a mate based on individualistic factors, and not social factors. Whether a man is attracted toward a skinny or fat woman is (I believe) based on psychological factors. Regardless, it seems universal that all men prefer the "hourglass" shape, whether the girl weighs 100lb or 300lb.

Petite and skinny at the same time are opposite to my standard, i like petite and voluptuous or skinny and tall.

For me and all the guys i know it is not about youthfulness, also i see skinny women and chubby for different uses. Skinny denotes elegance and sophistication, ideal as girlfriend, mother and family member. Chubby, is more like you know ...hot and sexual aggressive.

For the record these are extreme and illustrative examples, i have had chubby and skinny girlfriends and both were excellent.

About men choosing Asian girlfriends, i think it is related to the idea that the Asians girls are submissive and the western women are more "femminist" but that is an American phenomena.

I'm into guys who are tall and skinny because I'm already tall and curvy. But this doesn't always apply because I've gone out with shorter and muscle-y types.

My ex had been shorter than me by half an inch, but he was very muscular (first photo). My current bf (second photo) is lean and tall...just right for me.

I honestly gave up looking for patterns in "what we seek" in a mate. There are too many variables. And, to put it as simple as I can, if a girl is not too bad looking, offers free sex without "consequences" (although this never happens), then I probably would have sex with her. There really is not much of a mystery to it, for me.

What IS a mystery is why I prefer one type of girl over another, or prefer a short girl to a tall girl, or vice-versa. When it comes to height, I really don't care, as long she isn't 2 feet tall or 10 feet tall. But even then, you never know, do ya??

Maybe she is a giant hottie. And having a 10-foot-tall Amazon girlfriend with long curly blonde hair, well, maybe a fun time.

I've never dated a girl taller than myself. Fragile male ego. A woman over six feet tall? What if she's wearing heels? That's just weird.

But I've come to discover that I don't like short girls. Shortest I've dated was 4'11". Average height about 5'4". I prefer them to be reasonably tall, but not to the point that they could be professional athletes. Ideal is probably around 5'8", I guess.
