Biologically I doubt there are many "50/50" Mexicans at all as most so-called Native people have Spanish ancestry.
But a woman who looks like, say, Eva Longoria? Surely she isn't pure white, and I don't think it matters. Eva Longoria (approx. 25% Amerindian) could pass for Italian. George Lopez certainly could not. ![]() |

Umm it's kinda weird but, being a Latin American myself, I don't get along quite well with Latinos from other countries (such as Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, etc). |

I think the two guys and the women on the right could just make by passing for Sicilians. ---------- Post added 2010-09-14 at 21:17 ---------- i mean considering there are siclians like ray romano or john and nick turturro.. i woudnt say its a stretch for them to pass |

Other Mexicans may disagree with me, but I've never felt much kinship with Central and South Americans despite the cultural ties. Our geographic location has isolated us culturally from them to some extent. Same goes for Caribbeans, although there is some degree of Caribbean influence along the eastern Mexican coast and Yucatan peninsula.
these are some friends of mine that are castizo mexicans.. i think they can pass for being siclians |
