I don't agree with this, most of the non-Norwegians in this case are adopted or half-Norwegians and are therfore in a way 'Norwegian' at least culturally, I have yet to see any prominent Somalian-Norwegian actors or musicians.

There have been multi-racial misses in the past also like Kirby Ann Basken(Norwegian father, Fillipina mother.)
yes i should have specified, half Norwegian or adopted was also in my usage of the words "non norwegian" here.. i mean ethnically.. i dont count half Norwegians as norwegian, not ethnically...but culturally sure..

some examples:

Maria mena, Mira craig, Christian strand, Vegard Thomas Olsen, Alejandro fuentes, Nadia Hasnaoui, Jorun Stiansen etc...

but it should be noted that i dont watch tv so maybe its not like this anymore ( 10 years or so since i watched it on a regular basis, maybe longer even), but my experience of norwegian media culture is that exotic (non norwegian) is in, hence all these people...as i still see them when i read online news etc...

yes, but compared to their numbers they are very predominant..lets say we have 4.3 mill norwegians and 2-300 000 mixed/adopted etc peoples, and 20% of the media is mixed etc i would say that its a significant part.. no?

im not saying its a negative or good thing, i am just saying it seems to be a thing there..

20% of the media is mixed
I believe the number is significantly lower than that.

i was just trying to make a point about exotic being "in" in norway, but i agree 20% is too high i guess and as i said i dont watch TV anymore so...

maybe its a : "lets agree to disagree" moment here?

i dont mind, but if it starts to be a a trend i start to wonder why...but these days i believe Norwegians see other ethnicities as exotic and rare and so they become popular...

but a short answer would be i dont mind.. we are mixed as all others...

"infinite variation gives infinite possibilities"

I guess so but if they couldn't face up for multicutural and she wouldn't be Miss Norway because i know how they would react when they see miss norway is actually mixed race and some of them may cause racist to her.

not many Norwegians are racist, very few i would say..and the majority of the "racist" are infact just nationalists...

iknow atleast one more person who is Iranian who i think won, but lost the title due to being in a porn movie some years beforehand...

For example if you want to exterminate all other races, that is racist. if you just dont like having someone (exotic) in your country and they dont have any business in there, that is nationalist.

aylar lie. she is pretty hot Not for my taste.
I'd rather go out with someone who have very Atlantid/Pontid looking.

but in Norway its not culturally accepted to "love ourselves" in that sense...but iknow its pretty silly really...so the result is that we culturally become "out" in our own country:P

but on a global scale yes there are just around 8 million Norwegians...and only 4.6 mill of those live in Norway...

I find this disgraceful if i see Miss Europe who is clearly mixed race because i think it will make (white) European inferior to Mixed race. I remember a black guy once said to me ''you should go back to Wales'' and i said to him back '' what you doing in Europe ? it's not african with my disappointed look. People can be arrogant.

Well I reckon they must be going through exotic fever at the moment but they probably still like their own types as well.
