Default Vortech (Cybertech/metal) - news & such
Since there were many Yes votes for them, you can now buy all three Vortech albums as FLAC files from TheGround.com! Each album costs 3,99 euros / 5.74 USD and here's the direct links:

Update, as of 2009:
The store has stopped CD distribution, so there's only mp3s available. You can also get the albums for free at the band website: http://www.vortechmusic.com

http://www.theground.com/catalog/art...26&language=en - Deep Beneath
http://www.theground.com/catalog/art...27&language=en - Wasteland
http://www.theground.com/catalog/art...28&language=en - Conclusion

The same payment options (PayPal, Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, etc) are available as before.

The artwork for the albums can be downloaded here: http://www.vortechmusic.com/?page=art

And in other news, I've almost finished making the backing tracks (synths, electronics, drums etc) so we can soon start playing some live shows with Matti I'm going to record the shows, so hopefully I can get some new live material available [thumbup]

Important news!

The distributor that I used to sell Vortech CDs is closing down at the end of this year, and because of that I've made some price changes for Vortech albums (CD, mp3 and FLAC) at the site. Be a chap and support starving musicians

CD - 7,99 EUR (10 USD)
Full mp3 album - 1,99 EUR (2.5 USD)
Full FLAC album - 1,99 EUR (2.5 USD)

So, be quick and order while there's still stock available (not many left!)

I'm currently starting up the studio sessions for guitar and bass recording Should take about a week or so, since I also tab the songs (text and Guitar Pro) at the same time. After that it's time to start writing the lyrics and then record them. The next album should be finished well before summer, but I can't tell an exact date because there's some uncertainty if we have a good place to record the vocals. Hopefully things will clear out well.

As for the songs, you can hear three instrumental demo versions in full at Myspace and ReverbNation, and the album will also feature 8 additional songs with a nice amount of variety between them. Bloodbath in space? Scar Symmetry on steroids? Ministry goes Death Metal? Lots of fast stuff, lots of electronics and a very futuristic feel to it No ambient stuff on this one, but there's still lots of ambience in the songs themselves.

And finally, I've been asking around for some live gig possibilities, and if things lock into place, we should have 3 - 5 gigs this year.

PS.
The band website has also received a small touch-up, with lots of new content and of course a new studio diary: http://www.vortechmusic.com

Ta.

dunno if this is right of me saying but technically every thing we post on here is the property of future mark, and as your promoting your band through them I'm sure if they were really bothered they may ask you for payment for commercially selling music through their site.

I dunno, I know they have a classified board where you can sell stuff but its not commercial.

Well, the albums are available for free (CD if you want to buy one), so I don't think there's anything wrong

I just released a new EP in preparation for the upcoming fifth full length Vortech album coming early next year While the EP contains songs from the same writing sessions as the album, the songs are slightly different in style, which is why they aren't on the album. And another thing that separates this from the album is that I perform all the vocals and instruments, instead of Matti Särkimäki, our main vocalist who is currently busy recording the album vocals. The EP is different but definitely not worse So check it out, since it's free, after all

Download: http://www.vortechmusic.com/infocalypse

01. Chaos Dimension
02. Charcoal Earth
03. Pyre of Souls
04. Wire Synapse

~15 minutes

Vocals, Guitars, Bass, Programming, artwork, mixing, engineering - everything by me
