Civil port project near INS Rambili causes concern
 

Eastern Naval Command (ENC) has raised objections over security for its naval alternative operations base (NAOB) coming up at Rambilli for the proposed major port at Nakkapalli which comes within 15 km radius of NAOB.
Locals are now worried that the port may be shifted to Duggirajapatnam or Ramayapatnam after a central team visited recently.

ISRO too has raised security concerns as Sriharikota Range (SHAR) or the Satish Dhawan Space Center is near Duggirajapatnam. Ramayapatnam in Prakasm may be finalised as the civil port.
