Default Indian builds new capabilities against Pakistan on western border
India has created new bases For SU-30MKI and also advanced sensor units along the border with Pakistan. Sukhoi-30MKI are now permanently based in Jodhpur (Rajasthan) and Halwara (Punjab), are fully operational and integrated with the order of battle on the western front. Pakistan Air force is inducting newer F-16 Block 50's and 3.5 generation aircraft JF-17 Thunder. The first two nodes of IACCS (integrated air command and control system) are now operational in the western sector. The nodes have been integrated to older sensors like THD-1955 long-range surveillance radars with new ones like ATCR-22, DRDO developed Rohini and medium-power radars as well as Aerostats and Phalcon AWACS. Western Air Command air operations cover over 400,000 sq km stretching from Ladakh till Bikaner.

Army too has optimised its offensive and defensive formations with minimum accretions. Army has three —Northern (Udhampur), Western (Chandimandir) and South-Western (Jaipur).

Indian Navy is rapidly inducting newer ships and is scheduled to induct aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya in next 12 months. it has stepped up its UAV operations in Gujarat.
