WOUHOU! New Zealand is beaten by France 20-18! See you next week dear Brits!

I'll quote Satsumara on this:

Oh dear. And after they had been telling the world press how they were going to thrash our little English bottoms by a huge margin.
Even if in this case it wasn't New Zealand's team which told the world press that the French team had no chances, but the world press which told France that there was no hope.
It's sad to see the coolest team in this world cup leaving, but I'm glad our team made it to this point.

South Africa are playing a Japanese mountain? Cool.

I would like to point out that so far in the quarter finals the underdogs have won both times.

But hey never mind. Whatever the outcome between South Africa and Fiji at least it means one team from the Southern Hemisphere will be in the semis. Right?

Mind, I still think it will be South Africa to win the World Cup- should beat Fiji; are much better than either Scotland or Argentina; and whoever they face out of England or France will be so knackered after coming through two hard games they will struggle.

On a gagné, les doigts dans le nez! Hmm...I wonder if French kids still chant that; we did when I was a kid...

England vs. France will be interesting, not sure which one counts as an underdog, though. But I agree. The Boks should breeze through Fiji (but then that's what everyone said about the All Blacks, eh?) and they're way better than either Argentina and Scotland...then again it's been a year for underdogs...we'll see...

How charming!

On another note haven't France got THE BEST national anthem? Only Scotlands comes even close.

It's simple enough to be sing when drunk, so it is still widely known.

I totally agree! Flower of Scotland and la Marseillaise are the best anthems for rugby.
