I've a blog. A kendo one and the kendo conmunity being not that large here in Portugal and due to the fact that everybody knows everybody, I decided to create the "Usagi San Awards" in order to... well... dinamize things a little.

From now on, every July the portuguese kendoka have the oportunity to vote among their peers, the ones they think are "Kendoka of The Year" and "Kendoka Revelation". The "Awards" were presented last saturday October 14th during the Lisbon Kendo Tournament.

So, kendo world (and not only "kendo-world") I give you this year's winners of the Usagi San Awards:

left to right: Joni Duarte (honorable mention because he was the most voted overall but didn't win none of the categories), Nuno Ricardo (Kendoka of the Kear and team-captain of the portuguese squad for Taiwan), me, and Rui Araújo (one of our best hopes for Kendo-Euro Champs 2007 in Lisbon).
