Well, my internet connection is being dumb so I can't see the commercial, but there were posters all over Shibuya for a few days with the same ads. It was quite funny. Jack was weak though. The Jpop stars with all their CD ads came back very shortly after and the signs were back to their normal state.

It seems to be real. A google search brings up about 18,000 results, and some blog entries saying that it doesn't taste very good. There are even stores that import it to the USA if you want to try some.

Oh, and this reminds me of those drink commericals with Arnold Schwarzenegger.

i couldnt get into it either. but then everyone couldnt get into kigdom hospital that i knew of, but i loved it.

If you think that's bad, you should see the one were he is fighting his way through train packed with mindless Japanese school girls. If that comericial were based on reality, I too would bring poison gas onto the subway.

They don't taste too bad but make sure you have a drink (Pocari sweat) handy as it's as dry as hell. However, it is good when your racing to training after work just like Jack.

There are probably many people who live off the stuff here in Japan. No time for real food....
