Yes, she had recorded for a song for a Malayalam movie in Chennai. Incidentally the song allegedly had lyrics describing a mother's love and it seems that she had broke down which I'm not able to confirm.

Chitra is saccharine sweet in both the songs. The way her precision of singing, sweetness of voice and the clear diction blend in equal proportions without one dominating the other – perfect recipe for a singer. In the former, MV is no less a singer, but she easily overshadows him. The latter is a stunner, atleast personally for me, listening to it after long, I never knew it’s such a lovely song. Chithra and Amala – perfect combo it should have been.
