Education is it necessary?

Education is a process that starts the day one is born. The environment and circumstances one lives in brings education in the form of experience one goes through. It is a gradual process of acquiring knowledge. Good upbringing by parents can pave the way for better and correct social behavior. In school a child learns skills that are required in his or her later life as an adult.

Education is necessary to know the difference between what is right and what is wrong and for reasonably good social behavior. It does not mean that all educated people behave reasonably or correctly. There are things that influence peoples’ behavior and those things that influence one’s behavior differ from person to person. Through correct social behavior one earns respect in the society.

However, good education added to good upbringing could influence to correct one’s behavior to do the right thing and to differentiate between good and bad. Unlike in the beginning of the 21st century today technology has made its way into the life of children as well as adults.

The types of technology that can influence ones’ education and behavior are the TV and the Internet. To watch TV and use the Internet no education is necessary. But to use these technologies intelligently and learn, education is certainly necessary.

With the birth of the World Wide Web (www) through Internet life has become easy in many ways. In the era of Snail Mail communicating with people or organizations was frustrating. Email today is almost instant to any part of the world.

To people who travel abroad a lot, the use of Internet to book flights, check-in online, get boarding passes and book hotels and even a taxi ride to the destination from the arrival airport functions so perfectly that Internet is certainly a blessing in many ways compared to trudging to the Travel Agents many times in the past.

One has to be extremely cautious using the Internet giving your personal details
that can be stolen and misused. Precautions must be taken to track spyware and malware that may have found their way into your computer. To track them is not easy and you need tracking software to find them and the right ones.

Though it's easy to use the Internet without much education one can get into trouble soon if you don’t have the necessary education to use it intelligently depending what you are using it for. Recently there was news about some search engines keeping track of one’s Internet surfing habits.

So caution is the Buzzword using the World Wide Web and education is certainly important to use it wisely and correctly. Let me know your experiences may be I can learn.
