If you want to brink a Thai wife back to England, the first thing is to make her your wife, that will involve the Brit embassy for your letter of being free to marry issued by that embassy, then the actual marriage registeration with the amphur in Thailand, then getting her a visa to return to England which will also be at the Brit embassy.
So it seems that the place to start is the Brit embassy. They are the only ones that can give you the papers needed. The folks here can give you info on the process but they can not give you anything but support and limited info. so check and then if you do not understand, ask your questions. Or if you want to marry her in England instead of here, then you will still need to go to the Brit embassy and file for a fiancee visa, which can be done at your home immigration service or consulate, but does have to be started by you. |

Your greatest problem will be convincing the ECO at the embassy of your love and commitment to each other. Not at all easy!
They will need to see stacks of letters, photographs, evidence of your employment, income, housing and ability to support her, if you phone or text each other regularly, save your phone bills, itemised if possible, if you e-mail each other save print outs. The more stuff you can accumulate, the better, but even then there are no guarantees, so check out the site above very carefully. An interview will be required for your lady, and now days she must attend this alone, you will, at best, be outside, waiting. It is also an expensive process, with no refunds for failure, also outside agencies can only help with translations and guidance, they will have no influence whatsoever with the ECO, whatever they may tell you! You will both find it all extremely stressfull, but the more she knows about you and your life in the U.K the better your chances will be. Good luck to you both. |
