Could be just the weather change. I always get the sneezing when it gets cold out.

Hayfever [allergic reactions to pollens] You bet, I have it almost constantly ever since I got here.
Seems there is always something blooming, at home where I was born I was allergic to sage brush, here it is just the trees and things that seem to bloom at different times and all year long.
I buy Zyrtec, 3 to 6 boxes at a time when ever I am in the pharmacy. Take one a day usually at bedtime or shortly before.

Helps if you run the air con all the time and keep windows and doors shut, that way the air is run thru the filters and it makes a lot of difference.
We had a small one [12K] in out bedroom and a large on in the kitchen/dining room.
But found it is better to have a small one[10K] in the living room and just leave the 25k BTU in the dining room off, and with those 2 running on auto with fans on and scrubbing the air I am not bothered at all if I don't go out and ram around during the heat of the day.

Hay fever in Thailand?

After years of mocking people here in Japan every spring because they said they had hay fever, my chickens have come home to roost, it seems.

I used to think that it was more of a psychological phenomena brought on by the onslaught of advertisements, beginning in February, flogging hay fever medication that never seem to work for anybody. I had a theory that if they just didn't run the ads one year, everybody would maybe forget that they had hay fever!

Much to the glee of everybody around around me, this year I am finally afflicted with the blasted condition. It's terrible, itchy eyes and nose, nose constantly blocked, among many other ailments. Perhaps age brought it on. Apparently it's got a lot to do with the thousands of square miles of cedar trees they have planted after they destroyed anything natural here. Another reason to leave Japan. Which I will be doing next year, and moving you know where.

So it got me to thinking if hay fever is a common affliction in Thailand. I haven't heard of it, but then again I've never actually sought out information about it.

So, the question is, do people get hay fever in Thailand?

Great! http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/images/smilies/cry.gif
I was hoping that the answer was going to be different but, oh well, not much I can do about it.
Thanks for the answer,
