Yes I have heard of her, a true hero. Plus she was in the National Guard, go Guard (I have several friends in the Guard deploying to Iraq later this year).

It's not surprising though, Thailand and its people have always been brave warriors. The King of Thailand is a great soldier, and his son is also a great soldier (training alongside some of the best soldiers in the world, U.S. Army Special Forces).

I had heard of her before also, but I didn't realize until recently that her mother was Thai.

I'm not sure how many of you have heard of Tammy Duckworth outside of the State of Illinois, but I encourage you to google her name. Quite an inspiring story to say the very least. We are very proud of her in Illinois.
