Normally we give gold necklace, bracelet as the gift to new baby, but nowadays gold price is moving on uptrend http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/imag...es/biggrin.png, many people have changed to give them "gift certificate" instead, you can buy it from major department stores.

I assume you're not in Thailand, it might not be convenient, I think it should be ok if you give them anything following your own tradition.

I have a friend that was an exchange student at my house. My wife and I attended his wedding in Thailand in 2006 and now his wife is going to have a baby in about a month. We would like to know of an appropriate gift to give upon the birth of their child. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
