I don't know about lime juice, but Sunsilk is very popular.

Hi Hunsolo, there are millions of hairsalon in Thailand. But I shall give you some addresses only, the rest you can serach by yourself when you really come to visit Thailand. But one thing I've noticed that many young girls in Asian or Thailand love to have long straight hair, and europeans or american gals would be jealous thick long black hair. Why should we dyred color like your women, we have already beautiful black hair.
salondebkk,myhair24hour,cuteyandbeauty,vivaldi You said you are 50 yrs, you might want your lady have permanent and colored hair like american women. I can understand. Good luck in Chicago http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/imag...lies/music.gif |
Thanks Kathe, for your authorative reply. Pleased to see that my Thai friend's idea was correct after all.
|
I have heard that the main reason why Thai girls' hair is so shiny and clean is that they wash their hair in lime juice. Gives it that extra zing.

My friend's Thai girlfriend has these long kinda bushy bangs and my ex said she looks like she just came from Thailand, too. I didn't say either way was better either. But to hunsolo's question, yes, there is a similarity in the way most Thai women do their hair and simplicity is the one word that can describe it for me. I know girls that will spend hours just to make their hair straight like Thai women, too. Unkept and unkempt mean the same thing BTW. |
Well my last haircut was in Bangkok and other than cutting it a little shorter it was wonderful as was the service, better than any I have ever gotten.
|
Hand Solo is a woman?? First I heard of that.
|
OK, I'll go with "simplicity". Still very sexy though.
|
Solo, thai word for 5 is Ha. Maybe NP is laughing with you, or laughing at you. Only he would know. Welcome to the show.

Well,..Thank you Mr./Ms. Nam, Mr. Visionchaser and all others who contributed to this humble post & made it betterhttp://www.thailandqa.com/forum/imag...es/thankya.gif . I am just not sure what those 5555555 mean?..in European schools they have grading system which starts with 1 as worst-failed grade, and 5 as best grade, is that how grading is done in Thailand also?...here in U.S. best grade is A+ then B, C, D, and F as worse, or Failed grade.....just another little difference between our 2 continentshttp://www.thailandqa.com/forum/imag...lies/smile.png..if that`s what it is...unless in Thailand grading is reversed 5 is bottom and 1 is on tophttp://www.thailandqa.com/forum/imag...es/shocked.gif ....http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.png

I've been around a lot of Thai women, but never heard of even one of them using lime juice on her hair. They wouldn't want to waste it that way, when instead they can put it in their ส้มตำ !

Sorry, I got the lime juice thing a bit wrong. I have since found that it is the juice of the kaffir lime fruit (not ordinary limes) that you wash your hair in. According to my Thai friend it is the best thing for making your hair "shiny and black".

Some very good points there,...But there is also saying that goes: "Sometimes you have to step back from the picture, and look at it from a distance to see the WHOLE picture", so it is true that to get to know the land and people of Thailand upclose & personal, best way is to live among them for long time. But I think I posted some of my observations- in short time I was there-that perhaps those that lived there for long time fail to notice any more.http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.png ......and yes, we all are learning, all our liveshttp://www.thailandqa.com/forum/imag...lies/smile.png

Thank you Mr. GOODfish http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/images/smilies/wink.png for backing me up on this issue....Miss BUCKY you got me, I made a misprint there.http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/imag...es/biggrin.png you & BETTY both excuse me.1) I met my wife in PERSON on my first trip-before then I knew her from inter-net chats which we carried on for almost a year, and fone talks, and letters, and fotos..etc. 2) Well comparing Chinese GREAT wall and Bkk.`s "ancient city" is like comparing an Elephant & an Ant, the great wall can be seen from the moon, and is known throughout the world, and where outside Thailand does any one know about "ancient city", unless they have been there?http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/images/smilies/rock.gif 3) No actualy I am 50, but in very good physical shape and health, no smoking, no drinking, and working out 2-3 times a week...keeps me looking like a 30 year oldhttp://www.thailandqa.com/forum/imag...lies/smile.png and I am self learner when it comes to computers and inter-net use....and I still dont know how to use all the features on my p/c.http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/imag...lies/smile.png 4) and thank you BUCKY for trip well -wish. If you came to a country thats completely different than yours, a place you have never been before, alphabet you could not read, nor understand the language...I think you would feel & act same way as I did....have a great dayhttp://www.thailandqa.com/forum/imag...lies/smile.png

New a man once who had to have his hand amputated after getting it stuck in one of those "lates Paris hairdo's". BTW: After travelling to Bangkok my first actions are a shower, a haircut and shave at one of the many salons, then a Thai massage. Does wonders for you after sitting on planes for 20 odd hours! |

Anyone know anything about the kaffir lime thing? My Thai friend absolutely swears by it.

http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/images/smilies/cry.gif sorry `bout those bad perm jobs Betti. I got haircuts here in Chicago, from my regular hair cuuter, just before I traveled to Thailand, so I did not need hair cuts there, and don`t know what kind of barbers Thais are?, nor how much a hair cut costs....But if you ever in Chicago I would recommend you my hair stylist/cutter- my Korean lady friend-Jeniffer Kim http://www.thailandqa.com/forum/imag...lies/smile.png
