Default I thought 2009 was going to be a rubbish year for films...
...but I'd forgotten this rumour

http://www.aintitcool.com/node/39660

The sequel to Sword and the Sorcerer - oh happy day.

Now if only they could do the original 7 planned [yes, count them] sequels to Hawk the Slayer...

I was actually halfway exited until I read that Kevin Sorbo will be in it.
Sorry, I haven't been the same since his acting raped my poor King Kull.

Well, shucks, isn't Kevvo something like...well, 60-something!?!?

He should be making bodice-rippin' movies for the boomer set nowadays.

Bare midriffs, exposed thighs, sensuous cleavage - now we're talking. But please, not Sorbo! Damn, and just when everything was looking so good, too.

These shows are kinda like what would happen if Vince McMahon decided to do mythology documentaries.

So I think that everyone is in agreement, Sorbo sucks!!!

I'm quite keen to see the new Mickey Rourke film "the wrestler", it opens here next week I think.
Any of you Americans seen it???
I've always been a fan of Rourke, especially since he did Sin city!!! Mickey Rourke was born to play Marv!!! Frank Miller rules!!!

Absolutely, why else would Voltan have been resurrected by the evil wizards if not to continue his dastardly ways. The truth of the matter lies in one of the docmentaries they made during the filming where they pointed out the numerous empty sockets on Hawk's 'mind-sword' each socket could accept a magic gem that would embue his mighty weapon with greater undreamed of powers. Each sequel would follow Hawk's quest for the other gems, thinking about it there may have only been 6.

Also I may know the title of the sequel, it may be at the end of the book, I'll check tonight, unless I was once again mixed up with the title that was proposed for SatS sequel. Kull may have been bad but I really liked Hercules so I don't care if Sorbo's in it or not. This isn't going to be Lord of the Rings is it, the ebst we can hope for is Scorpion King 3!

No, no details of the title to the first sequel at the back of the book. No details of the title of the sequel to SatS in the back of that book either. Incidentally did you know that Jean Claude Van Damme's film Cyborg was originally supposed to be Master's of the Universe 2!

Anyway expect an influx of new wannabe ninjas to your local dojo when Ninja Assassin hits the cinemas!

IMO, it doesn't look like its going to be anygood. Xena was awesome. This doesn't look as good. Yeah the girls are pretty but they might be sucky actors. I do acting and especially in films, thats the case. Their just pretty. So who knows. Might be a drop out. But just for you guys I'll keep my fingers crossed it isnt.

...don't forget they'd be directed Dino Delarauntis (?) and produced by FoxSearchlight Pictures!

I totally agree. It looks like the director has just wandered around trying to pick up pretty girls by saying "hey, wanna be in my movie" as a ruse to date them. But maybe fights involving lipgloss might be better than I imagine

And you're an actress are you? Or is it actor? Never know which is correct.

You been in anything we might have seen.

(please say you're really Jennifer Aniston)

.....ohhh......and it will certainly be "Straiiiiight to video!!" fare.
....OR straight to DVD.. Do try to keep up!!!
