Would it be possible for me to set up a bank account on my next trip?.What is the procedure?.What problems might i face?.

Did you try a search of the forums already as this has been discussed a number of times in depth. Briefly, in theory you can set up a bank account but many ask to see a work permit. If you fail at one bank then just try another. Fee for an ATM card is about 300 baht. You might need to deposit something like 500-1,000 baht. Foreigners are not paid interest in most savings account though some pay interest in fixed savings.
