Bucky is right what exactly are you after mate?
Veerhapol, you replied:

Find mate? No, I'm not looking for mate in Thailand. Veerhapol, Robin was merely asking, "What are you after?" The expression "mate" is like "buddy" or "pal".

Yeah, sods to finding a mate in Thailand, they are really expensive. The price ranges from 1,000-1,000,000baht depending on the length of time of the 'mating'.

Sure, you can become a monk. Life doesn't change that much really. Here are just a few can nots

1. You can't pop into a bar with your robe on and buy yourself an alcoholic drink.
2. You can't go sunbathing.
3. You can't ride a banana boat in Pattaya.
4. You can't get married.
5. You cant' get a job as a DJ in a nightclub.

In fact, becoming a monk is a great idea. Here are a few cans.

1. You can eat, drink and watch DVDs for free.
2. You can sit around, sleep all day and not bother finding a proper job.
3. You can get free bus and tuk-tuk rides.
4. You can get into famous Bangkok temples hassle free.
5. You can go along to some wedding/funeral ceremony, just sit there for an hour and get paid 200baht.

I learnt to count in Thai in 2 days, I could get by with basic Thai after a week, 15 years later I still only speak enough Thai to get by, and have just strated to learn to read and write.
Working here will help - what do you do?
Entering a wat for spiritual emlightenment will improve your karma, probably your Thai as well, depends on the resident monks and their ability to teach - not always reliable.
Working here is limited to specialised professionals, if you are one, then you'd stand a chance to get a job.

To be a monk is easy due to i did spoke with some Wat only i pass they simple test to be a monk then i can stay in thailand as long i still a monk. What I want is to learn more buddhism and also thai language . Once become a monk a lot of thing need to follow the rules not do as you like. If got a simple job that allow me to stay n learn that will be better so i can move around freely. I can apply 60 days visa in sin but due to money I did not have a lot so got a job n allow me to have free time .

Just 60 days, if you had never been in Thailand. It's just good time to explore, to become a monk is different story. I recommend you to grab Thai learning book and travel while trying to use Thai language with them, after first few weeks of trying to apply for Thai learning school.

So, Learn Thai and travel. Temple will be in your list of travel.

Become a monk, you suppose to understand Thai or find some temple that they can talk to you in English which is more difficult.

So what exactly do you want? To become a monk or find a job? Or just stay in Thailand for the sake of staying? And what or where exactly do you want to do and go where a monk cannot do or go?
