As many as 39 infrared cameras, four speed-dome cameras and 34 audio speakers have been fitted in the electronics hub, in a first-of-its-kind initiative entirely funded by private parties. These are linked to a central control room from where one policeman can keep watch on the entire area.

I do not know how a single policeman could keep watch a footfall of more than 10,000 people and 2500 shops a day? What if he needs to drink a tea or coffee, answer a call of nature, a lunch break or any other forms of distractions humans are prone to? Will he be in the possession of a mobile phone while he is on duty?

Well! If plans work out the way they are supposed to and prevent at least 25% of crimes and detect another 25% committed its welcome. People have to wait for reports of success.
