This being the motive, The DakshinaChitra Museum for South India and the famous cultural centre Kalakshetra in Madras have joined hands to launch a two year full time Arts Management Programme for Graduates in order to recoup and cater to the enormous cultural changes the country has gone through.
![]() The course includes hands on cultural projects including curating exhibitions, internship for a short duration followed by an individual final project. Hostel facilities will be provided for outstation students at Kalakshetra,where the classes will take place. With the growing liquidity and hybridity of Indian culture,it is essential to have art managers who understand the greater depth and nuances of this field. This specialized training is sure to turn art lovers into art managers, graduates into professionals committed to India’s art and culture equipping them with necessary knowledge and skills for success in a wide range of administrative, managerial and leadership positions and thus evolve the future advocates of arts.
