India's Aakash 2, world's cheapest tablet, made in china... According to Hindustan times report Data-Wind founders and NRI brothers Suneet and Raja Singh Tuli may have purchased these devices from manufacturers in China for $42, exactly the price at which they sold these to the Indian government.

Data-Wind had no role either in the design or manufacturing of Aakash 2 tablets. They bought more than 10,000 or more "A 13" made-in-China tablets from at least four manufacturers in Shenzhen and Hong Kong. And then these were shipped to India duty-free as they were meant for school students under an HRD ministry programme.

Instead of manufacturing these low-cost tablets themselves… Data-Wind has simply purchased these 'off-the-shelf' from China and supplied it to the Indian government. That's how they fool Indian people. They forgot their morals, they even forgot that these devices are to be given to students for study so they should have maintained the quality.

This was Indian government project to give tablets to the students at an affordable price. This would have helped poor students to meet technology without expending much. But they simply shipped the Chinese tablets, now how will they assure quality and how will they provide support for the product.
