Yo Alexi!
I just got the tenegui at training. I'll try to mail it tommorow or on Friday! Meng |
> However, if you mean a tenegui, we do have some of those....
Sent it over if you can Confound. If you want to, please leave me an address to ship mine over to you. Thank you. |
No probs.
Message me your detailshttp://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif Or E-mail Meng |
This waza will also stunt the growth of the victim, especially if the striker is a tall (was more than a head taller than me) and strong Swede... I was suprised the shinai didn't break, since (fortunately for me) part of his hit was men-gane.
Ah... the pains of teaching beginners... http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif |

A, yes, forgot about that Kent. |
A little off the topuic, but where would be a good place to have tenegui made?
|
way off topic here, alex did you get the fabreze? http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif
|
Air mail perhaps?
|
Well yes, a friend of mine actually has a 'tenugui' that is an AD from a fish shop in Japan.
Good japanese *kendo* tenugui are much nicer though. They're big and soft and don't slip when a beginner strikes conan men on you. |
note: using this technique will result in "open" season declared on you.
This means that the "conan" being pummelled senseless by everyone with a shinai. |
oh!
that waza! I already used it, a couple of times. Only works if you do all very fast, and after the third time you uses the waza, you must do a lot of running, till you get to safety at home. Impractical at the end, they rum faster then I. About the Tennugi, we're a small club, so we don't really have tenugis, but if things go well, who knows? As a wish, I would like to have a good humored tenugui, look at http://www.kukuxumusu.com/web/index_e_cas.php, It not serious, it's not very deep, but it's real cool. Ciao |
Speaking of Tenegui... I was wondering if you guys (those who cannot really read Kanji) prefer:-
a) Traditional Tenegui with Sensei's writings/Dojo motto etc. Very stylish Shodo/Calligraphy (not to mention sometimes the calligraphy isn't that great/ they actually write the wrong Kanji!). I also found the writings pretty amusing... say one of my reads "Zettai Bupai", i.e. Absolutly Not Lose.... ha~ Not very good when all day I keep taking people's Men cuts. b)The souvenir type, i.e. those from Taikai (xxxth anniversary) Sometimes they put too much information on that limited space, resulting in bad design.... Mmm... for national teams, a flag on Tenegui will be great... since last time I saw the Scottish George with a Swedish flag/tenegui! c)The others...... When I was in a dojo filled with Kids, I saw one of the girls with a pink Hello Kitty tenegui, and another boy with a multi-colour Doraemon (ahh... I hope the dye won't come off). I suppose it will not be difficult to make your own... draw your own etc. Well, if you can't choose your Zekken, choose your Tenegui! At least everyone has this option, so there's nothing to "Sour grape" about ~ |
