Default Asia Samurais from Hong Kong
Last night I had the opportunity to practice with Mr. Yoshio Yamada and his Asia Samurais (Asia Kendo Club) from Hong Kong.
All I can say is, Wow.
I don't know whether to throw out all of my gear because I'll never get as good as these guys and gals or train harder and hope I live to be about 120 years old.

You must feel honoured to have practiced with them.

Just wondering, was the moniker "Asia Samurais" a term that they use to refer to themselves?

That's how they are billing themselves for the NY tournament. Most, I think, are from Hong Kong AKC but some from China and Japan

Sheesh I thought you started this thread because of a cool movie. The title sounded like a movie review. And now you, being a life long President of our Greater Coalition, plan to live for a 120 years! I'm sure that I won't last that long so I guess you will survive us all. I hope that you will see a better world in the end where you won't be called, and I quote some random gems of people who will go unnamed, decripit(sp?), loser, inhabitant of a senior citizens home, bully, someone who's not worthy of his own principles, and a few others which I forgot. So are you sure you still want to live to reach 120 years?
Maybe we could start a movie with all the Mc Dojo's that we encountered here. Lately the one where someone is Hachi dan and whose only feat is to fill out a form on the internet and fork some cash is very inspiring for a movie we could call it American Samurai or is that name already taken?

I'll be there. Tall old guy, curly grey hair, o'connor on bottom of zekken Okano (in kanji) in middle. I'm captain of the kenshin-kai B team.
Gonna be a big tournament, last I heard 42 teams entered.

No, he was not there but Nakane Sensei (7 dan) was, I think he is either from Bankock or was at some point because that is where one of my friends met him. He's a kendo animal.
15 came and 9 were godan and above.
The other 6 were sandan and yondan.

Great tournament. I think 44 teams finally entered.

Hahaha..yes, Nakane Sensei is an animal in shiai...he was destroying one of the Yokohama Uni guys with taiatari...until he got a hiki-men scored against him at the HK taikai.
