Hello, and a couple of questions
Hello there!
I'm still trying to figure this out (is the server really THAT busy?), so if I've missed the right place to post - I'm sorry. I'm interested in looking into kenjutsu or kendo after the first of the year and have no idea where to begin. Can anyone recommend a place to learn in the Washington DC/Baltimore area? I live about halfway between each city, and work closer to DC. Thanks! |

Thanks for that! Do you have anything similar for kenjutsu dojos? I tried Google, but there does not seem to be an organizaton like that for it. Also, wow are you really in Mexico?

If Kaoru still hangs around here she can probably help you with that... good luck!

If you are looking to start at the beginning of the year, you picked the right time to start making inquires. Definitely contact the dojo as soon as possible. I'm not sure how things are in your area, but out here many dojo run a waiting list and only start people at certain times of the year, such as January. Wouldn't be fun for you if you got stuck waiting another 6 months until July or something.

I would suggest the Capital Area Budokai. They have kendo, kenjutsu (Nakamura ryu battodo), and iaido (Mugai ryu) there as well as a couple of other arts that I don't remember.

I don't have any suggestions as far as a good dojo goes, but welcome to the forums!
