Scandinavian Baseball
Hi folks! Just wondering, since this is the only really "international" forum on which I participate... Has anybody ever heard of a kind of Scandinavian style of baseball where there is no pitcher (the ball is thrown straight up from home base) and the basepaths are all of different distances? Just wondering...

That sounds like "brännboll" which is often played at schools in Sweden. From what I know, there are no teams or serious matches being played. It is just played for fun.
Actually, I find brännboll more fun than baseball (have tried that too) because the rules are simpler and since there is no pitcher, it's a lot less difficult. |

Yah, Finnish Baseball. I played it a few times (don't ask) and while it's fun, I still think 'real' baseball is the greatest sport on earth http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/smile.gif

Playing in sweden, as an adult, usually involves a whole lot of beer.
One per base or such like. Good fun. http://www.discussworldissues.com/fo...lies/wink2.gif |
