Has anyone seen the movie the Transporter 2. Well there was a "kendo" scene and at first I was like wow cause thats in there but then was let down as it was not very real. Thats a movie for ya. But anyway I was wondering if anyone knows where the guy got the black shinai from??
I know you can get a red and green shinai (not sure were) so if someone makes red and green shinai they might make other color.

Hmmmm... What could you be referring to? I'll guess: Cooperative assailants, ropes, wires, and other special effects....

I also liked how their shinais don't bend or flex even while delivering excessive blows.
Remember when two shinai(?) broke the Mengane, and voila, he was not there..... That's what I'm talking about

Yeah, go to see it. Some one please tell me how the hell did he do that? You will understand my question after watching the movie
If I see it anytime soon, I'll try to let you know. Until then, no idea.

Back to the movie... is it worth seeing at all?
If you enjoyed the first one, you won't be horribly disappointed with the second. Likewise, if you didn't like the first, don't bother...

Then again watching the "Bad Guy" wearing a lovely white gi/hakama, with the White and Gold trimmed bogu doing some over the top martial art demo (rather like this: http://www.bogubag.com/Bogu/Girls_White/doh_08731_L.jpg) was a really really good laugh. He just looked so "cute" in his bogu... I especially liked the way he... no spoiling, must stop....

I have to get the movie, just to watch that under a minute clip of film again...

Jason Statham is also great in The Italian Job. I am not sure if I would like Transporter 2...and I go and see real garbage at the theater too.
He isn't kidding. He watches all the garbage. Drags me to some of it too.

good example of the mainstream view of kendo. Something like 6-8 guys in a 12' circle beating on each other with shinai, and sometimes they even used the shinai. Even the wife got a good laugh out of it.
Reminds me of a Murder She Wrote episode with "kendo." I set up my TiVo to automatically record anything with the word "kendo" in the description and I got it. Now I can't delete it, because it's just toooo funny to watch... Has anyone else seen it?
