Oh oh oh, me me me!!

Even though I think Cricket is a bit like golf with more people and no holes, I've actually been pulled in by the ashes this year! Normally I wouldn't touch Cricket if you paid me, but its been rivetting!

Still don't know my silly mid wicket from my off leg stump though. I thought they were disabilities.

The name of the cricket tournament. England beat Australia to win for the first time in something like 18 years.

Interestingly, it's not a formal victory until Australia's balls have been removed. Oh my...

The Ashes are the ashes from the bails from the wicket from the first test that England lost to Australia.

They...kept...them? Vendetta indeed. What shall they do with Australia's balls then?

I wish I'd put a bet on England before the start of the test..probably coulda won enough for some new kote!

It's good to see our cricket team take a loss..It should give them motivation to win for at least the next 18 years

The ashes were meant to represent the "death of english cricket".

Or they are the remains of Ian Botham and the beefy we all know and love is actually a krikkit war robot......

I wonder how many people will get that?

I suspect that Botham isn't a krikkit war robot, although he may have been painted pink with yellow spots and placed in an SEP field for all we have seen of him during this ashes series.

I'm surprised he wasn't rolled out and paraded around.

Personally, I'm still managing to hit the ground when I throw myself at it, perhaps I haven't found the right distraction yet...

Personally I love cricket, it's a great game with so many subtle elements (just like kendo).

Australia is in trouble. Judging from what I've seen of Lee, and Tait, Australia's attack will be mediocre in years to come. I can't see them finding the next McGrath and Warne very soon.
England fully deserved the victory. Congrats!

I never thought I'd live to see the day when the Wallabies would have their arses handed to them on a plate, but if that wasn't enough, now our cricket team (who are always a sure beat when one is seeking to restore some national pride) losses the ahses!!! In these crazy times all a boy can hold onto is his positive thoughts...and if these losses give our team(s) the motivation they need to go on dominating for (at least) the next decade, so be it. In the mean time I'll just stick to watching the Australian swim team..
