The fortune cookie thread
 
I thought it might be nice to start a thread for good fortune cookie sayings.

My first entry is the one I just got today, here goes.

"There is no substitute for good manners except, maybe, fast reflexes."

I was told that the only valid way to read a fortune cookie is to place the words "in bed" at the end. Great entertainment value with your Chinese take-out.

How about When misfortune strikes, smile. You could be on Candid Camera. or If you can remain calm while those around you panic, you've missed something.
